Complete replacement Cylinder Head for Perkins AD3.152 builds,
Head is supplied built and includes
- Injector Studs
- Valves (Lapped in during manufacture)
- Valve Springs
- Valve Spring Caps
- Valve collets
Often the route cause of a poor starting tractor can be down to a worn cylinder head.
The cylinder head controls the flow of gases in and out of the engine using valves which are opened and closed by the camshaft in time with the rotation of the engine.
In a worn head, the valves do not seal as well as they should which causes them to leak - this is know as a loss of compression.
Compression is key to the starting and running performance of the engine as its the compression that causes the fuel to ignite.
Low compression = Less power + reduced performance.
Please be aware that the cylinder head is supplied with a rust preventive coating, this will need to be cleaned away prior to fitment.
