The Massey Ferguson 100 series is one of the most desired ranges
of vintage tractors, with many people keen to get hold of one to restore for
play or work, 5475 lights would be one of Agriline top sellers replacing the
original Massey part numbers 1672766M91, 1860177M1 and 1890156M91. They come with a plastic
housing rather than aluminium like the originals, this is mainly to keep
manufacturing cost down so they can be offered to customers for an affordable
price, you would have to look closely when fitted to a tractor to notice they
are plastic. Supplied with bulbs and wires ready to fit. If your original aluminium
housings are still in good condition, you can buy the headlight units for these,
Agriline part number 5399.
With the original housings being aluminium, these can become
brittle and crack over time, the glass lenses become dull and sometimes discoloured
after years of exposure to the weather, its also not uncommon for the lenses to
become cracked, once cracked it allows moisture into the sealed beam unit causing
the bulb fittings to corrode away to the point where the light doesn’t work
anymore.
Once fitted these lights will not only make seeing in the
dark clearer but also make the tractor look that bit smarter, held on by a
couple of screws they are quick and easy to change.
